BE{inspired} - February

Welcome to my second addition of my BE{inspired} project. Remember, anyone can be a party of this group on Facebook!  I was in Siren, WI over the weekend and there was about 9 inches or so of fresh, fluffy, gorgeous snow.  I knew this storm was coming so I brought my Mark II along for the ride to photograph my project. We are getting to the part of winter where we are so tired off all this white stuff on the ground but when it falls on the pine trees like this you cant help but be thankful of its beauty! The snow flakes were huge and perfect! This is my last little glimpse of winter because the next post will be of my vacation to the Dominican Republic. Check back for that one!

Alice 3 months

This session is part of my "First Year" package I offer my clients to capture their babies at the newborn, 3 month, 6 month and 1 year stage of life. Each session we have been getting photos of the three sisters (SO CUTE!). This is Alice and her 3 month session. Her mom and I joked that she acted more like a newborn in these photos...finally was SLEEPY! I look forward to her 6 month session! :)

St. Paul, MN...BE{inspired} January!

You might wonder why I am posting photos other than adorable kiddos or a fun family. Well, I have decided to participate in a group called BE{inspired} created by LaCoursiere Photography. It is a group focused on inspiring other photographers and inspiring ourselves to be creative with our work.  Sometimes we don't have time to focus on personal projects and are busy, busy, busy with editing or on location at a photo shoot to really remember what inspired us as photographers in the first place. So, we all post our blogs to the BE{inspired} page on Facebook (any photographer can join) not only for feedback but as a way to actually make us work on our projects!! I consider it a monthly homework assignment and I will get in trouble if I don't do it, hehe. My BE{inspired} project will consist of a monthly blog post going to different locations throughout Minnesota, possibly surrounding states, or even out of the country (it depends where 2013 brings me) to get inspired by texture, nature and our daily surroundings. I have recently had a major change in my life and I want to recognize the beauty that is around me every day but capture it in a different way.  Eventually my art will become décor for my future home. My first stop in January is the amazing city of St. Paul, MN....I found this appropriate to capture because the St. Paul Winter Carnival is starting and I grew up enjoying this lovely city and carnival events but I wanted to actually capture it as a piece of art. I wanted to be a little more creative but the lack of time and freezing cold weather down played my original plans. Good thing I have one year! :) I hope you enjoy these photos and why I love St. Paul so much. -Tracy

Wedding Welcome Packet! Everything you need to know when booking with Tracy Jean Photography.

I FINALLY MADE A WEDDING WELCOME PACKET! As any photographer knows there is never a moment where we aren't editing photos, responding to emails, researching blogs, working on our website and own blogs, photographing a wedding, family or newborn and a lot of our things on the "to do" list go on the back burner.  WELL, I have the honor of being one of the wedding vendors at a local Wedding Preview event and so that has made me "quickly" get some things done on my "to do" list. YAY!!! So I finally got around to designing a couple photo albums I offer with my work displayed and yes, putting together a wedding welcome packet!  This feels great to finally accomplish! I decided to make my own packet rather than purchasing a PDF online.  I saved money and made it personal with my colors! Included in my packet is a....welcome letter, wedding packages offered, contract, price list for prints, copyright release, photo album options, what to wear suggestions, photo list example for day of wedding, Q&A, and my business card.  Am I missing something?! : )
I will also be making a simpler version for the other sessions I offer and will be emailing that through a PDF file!
